Peak Design Small Tech Pouch

This is a short feature of the newly released Peak Design Small Tech Pouch. I specifically bought it for everyday use. With this tech pouch, I can carry a small selection of IEM with me and also have enough space for sources and accessories. Too often did I miss a specific connection cable, adapter, dongle, or ear tip when I already left the house. Now I can finally be sloppy with my EDC planning!

Most tech pouches are quite a bit bigger as they are designed to store at least a keyboard or a chunky power bank. I have previously considered IEM-specific storages, for example from VanNuys or ddHifi. But this solution allows me to throw in quite a bit more cables while stile keeping it organized. Here is my loadout:

  • My pair of currently preferred reference IEMs, stored in the left pouch (Softears RS10, InEar ProPhile 8, 64 Audio A18)
  • A fun alternative pair of IEMs (or one that is currently going through a review process), stored in the right pouch
  • The go-to pair of IEMs in the back, which has a separate pouch in case I need to leave the Tech Pouch behind (Softears RSV)
  • Mojo 2, Hiby DAP, Questyle M15i and TempoTec dongle in the front, including OTG cables and adapters in separate compartments
  • Charging cables, Apple dongle, DUNU Quick Switch terminations and microSD cards in separate compartments behind the zipper in the back

The bag itself will not withstand high pressure, so it‘s not an absolutely carefree solution. Don‘t sit on it! But for a daily commute to work in a business bag, it‘s an excellent storage.
